Choosing a new Speech Pathologist is an important decision. Talkers and Eaters Speech Pathology’s team has compiled some of the most common questions asked by previous patients and included answers to help you make your decision. If there’s something they haven’t touched on, please just ask.

Is there an age limit?

No. We at Talkers and Eaters see patient of all ages and stages across the life span. So if yourself or someone you know is having difficulties, please do not hesitate to reach out and inquire.

Do you have any after-school spots available?

We have limited after-school time slots but there are some still available. Phone now to book in.

Do you only offer in-clinic services?

Talkers and Eaters is able to offer various service types depending on the need of the participant, family, and clinical needs. These include: In-clinic services: where the participant is required to come to the clinic for scheduled appointments. Off-site services: where the clinician may accompany the participant or meet them at an agreed location, including home visits. Conditions and considerations apply. Phone for more details. Do you travel to towns near-by Goondiwindi?

Whilst we Talkers and Eaters are happy to see patients residing in or near the Goondiwindi Regional area, we do not offer out-of-town visits currently. We are looking to expand our services for outreach to near-by towns if we can see multiple clients in the area. If you want Talkers and Eaters to come to your town, please let us know.

Do I need a referral?

No, privately paying patients do not require a referral.

What are my funding/ rebate options?

The following rebates can be claimed for our services: Chronic Disease Management (CDM) to access Medicare rebates. National Disability Insurance Scheme funding for self-managed and plan-managed participants. Private Health insurance Funds (please check your health fund covers speech pathology services in its cover).
