Meet Miss Ellie
Eleanor Barry "Miss Ellie" is our senior speech pathologist. Don't judge her for growing up in the suburbs, she has always loved rural Australia since her parents loaded up their Nissan Patrol for the family's first outback adventure when she was 6 years old. After completing a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Speech Pathology at The University of Melbourne, Miss Ellie packed her bags and relocated 1600kms from home to the Darling Downs and has since fallen in love with the region.

Since graduating from her Masters in 2019, Miss Ellie has worked in private practice, community health and acute regional hospital settings. She is experienced in working with a diverse range of clients, including children with speech sound difficulties, fussy feeders, people with disability, post-stroke rehabilitation, neurological diseases and more. She started 'Talkers and Eaters' to build the communicative and feeding capacities of every one of her clients. She has additional training in areas including 'Hanen' early language development, 'Sounds Write' literacy, orofacial myology, 'Sequential-Oral-Sensory' (SOS) feeding therapy and more.
When not in the clinic, Miss Ellie can be spotted around a campfire, on a road trip, the AFL field or on her motorbike - look out for a teal Kawasaki and a rider with a matching helmet.
